The Government is hiding information about UFOs

The topic my group and I are doing is the possibility of life on other planets and that the government may be hiding information from the public. Throughout this process we have read many first hand accounts of interactions with aliens and sightings of UFOs, some credible and some not so much. We have also learned in this course that google has ways of pushing certain information to the top of pages and making it more likely that you will click on certain articles over others. With this in mind we have gone into every source with an open mind, but with the idea that their is a high chance the government is trying to push a certain narrative about the existence of extraterrestrial life. My research definitely has the potential to have been affected by the government. When researching we have come across projects launched by the government and NASA with the purpose of debunking a lot of the UFO sightings that have been reported. As the projects progressed NASA and the US government found reports of UFOs that they can not explain and sightings that may be credible. The media can also affect our research because it is a platform where anyone can post whatever they want. It is difficult to search through and find first hand accounts from credible sources. There is a lot of fabricated images and stories out there about UFO sightings. It is more so that the government is hiding information from the public and not revealing everything they know and have on UFOs and alien life to the public. When doing research this manipulation forces us to be very skeptical with everything we read and to look deeply into the sources that we find.
